listen, i play in a local cover band here in phoenix. i just joined the cover band extraordinaire tribe and am trying to get some activity going there.

i think it's a shame that there is not much activity going on. i'm trying to send some emails out and get some people to join.

cover bands never get any cred. it's always the original bands that get all the kudos. and that's fine, i've been in original bands myself and it's a very difficult task. but working all week long and then playing 34 weekends a year is difficult too. when i played in original bands, we only had to play for an hour on a given night. in cover bands, it's 4 hours PLUS pack-in time PLUS pack-out time. loads of practive, driving, emails, web stuff, it's very difficult.

so if we don't help each other, then who will.

i've been looking to find a group and/or tribe for some time that deals with these issues.
